Full Three-Tiered MD-MF Target ID Scale
When operating in Multi-Frequency, the VX9 displays one non-ferrous scale and two ferrous scales. Complex targets can appear on more than one scale at the same time, giving you additional target information before you decide to dig.
Beach Mode and Multi-Salt
Beach Mode and Multi-Frequency Salt operation provide smoother performance and accurate target identification on wet salt beaches and in shallow surf. The VX9 is fully submersible to 16 feet.
Fast Mode and Recovery-Speed Control
Fast Mode is designed for competition hunts and trashy locations where adjacent junk can mask desirable targets. Three recovery-speed levels let you adjust the detector for improved target separation.
Lightweight and Collapsible
The VX9 collapses to approximately 24.75 inches and extends to approximately 56.75 inches. It weighs about 2.9 pounds without the coil cover and approximately 3.05 pounds with the coil cover installed.
Updateable and Upgradeable Platform
The Garrett Vortex series was developed as an updateable and software-upgradeable waterproof detector platform. Software updates can improve or expand the platform as Garrett releases compatible enhancements.
